Did you know not all AuD grad programs include a hands-on research component? Many universities also do not employ research audiologists. It can be difficult for students to figure out if they'd like working as a research audiologist, especially if they haven't had opportunities to work in a research lab or meet a research audiologist before!

We'd love to set up a panel of research audiologists to talk with students in your program about what being a research audiologist is like, the pros/cons to working in research, and paths we have taken to work in different settings (industry, hospitals, academia, military). Hearing about our experiences and asking us questions may help AuD and/or PhD students figure out if research audiology could be a good career fit.

If you're interested in having us speak with your class or organization, please fill out the request form below. We can have 1-3 audiologists available to present for as little as 30 minutes or as much as 1.5 hours.

"This helped me understand the steps that it may take to pursue this career path and also that it is possible."

“This is speaking to my soul!”

“I am so thankful for this talk!”

Student attendees, UNC-Chapel Hill

"A few of our students reached out to the director of our program on their own accord to let her know how valuable the presentation was for them, and how grateful they were to be able to attend. Big props!"
